Clearances are gmeasured during refurbishing [ between the rotors and between each rotor and the stator wall]. The clearance allows the pump to operate with minimum wear and without the need for lubrication inside the blower.
One benefit of a rotary lobe pump is that can reduces back streaming of oil from the rough pump.
A rotary lobe pump should have a backing pump that has a rating of at least 8-15 percent of its pumping speed. Blowers evacuating directly from atmosphric pressure require special provisions.
Rotary lobe pumps can be prepared for corrosive and oxygen service. |
